What is TEDx?

TEDx is a global initiative by TED to bring the spirit of TED’s mission, “Ideas Worth Spreading,” to local communities around the world. These independently organized events follow TED's format and guidelines, providing a platform for people to share thought-provoking, inspiring, and impactful ideas.

What is a Salon Event?

A TEDx Salon is a smaller, more intimate version of a standard TEDx event, designed to keep the community engaged and inspired throughout the year. Unlike the larger, full-day TEDx conferences, Salon events are shorter in duration and focus on a single topic or theme, allowing participants to explore ideas in greater depth. They feature fewer talks or performances, but place a stronger emphasis on audience interaction through discussions, Q&A sessions, and collaborative activities. This format creates a welcoming environment where meaningful conversations can flourish, and community members can connect directly with speakers and one another. While more frequent and flexible in scale, Salon events still uphold the same TEDx standards of quality, inclusivity, and non-commercial spirit, ensuring that every gathering remains a credible platform for “Ideas Worth Spreading.
